Once an abandoned Lotus pond, the Dai Phuoc Commune in Nhon Trach District of Dong Nai Province is fast becoming the Ecotourism destination of Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam.

The revitalization of the area started when the Dai Phuoc Bridge was completed by DIC Corp back in July 2009. The 464.6ha site is now a beautiful teardrop shape on the map, surrounded on three sides by the Dong Nai River.

This development is a miniature city in its own right, with housing projects like villas, apartments, commercial centers, office buildings, hotels, trade centers, entertainment outlets, golf courses, etc.

When NS BlueScope Lysaght Vietnam team took on the task to provide roofing for one of the residential complexes, they knew it had to look as good as the iconic building in the area, which is shaped like a blossoming Lotus.

The Lysaght Solution

As this project is one of the most modern and high-end residential projects in recent times, NS BlueScope Lysaght understands that the metal sheet needs to look just as impressive. For this project, they need a low roof pitch as well.

The bold ribs rising from the flat pans gave the modern look the residential complex needs. To cope with the wet weather, the concealed fixing offers supreme water-tightness. This smart-roof solution is held together with KLIP-LOK® end and expansion joint system.

LYSAGHT® KLIP-LOK® 406

A superior cladding which has the approval of FM Global approval. It’s a favourite for prestige commercial, industrial and architectural projects. The bold, substantial ribs use a concealed fixing system for uninterrupted lines, perfect for architects who want to make a bold visual statement.

COLORBOND®

COLORBOND® steel is more than just painted steel. The base is manufactured to Australian standards for grade and strength. Then it’s coated with BlueScope’s proprietary metallic coating to improve corrosion resistance. After that, a thin pre-treatment is applied before a primer is baked onto the surface. The final topcoat provides resistance to chipping, flaking and blistering.
