LYSAGHT^® SPANDEK OPTIMA^™

A leading automobile manufacturer is expanding its operation and building a manufacturing plant in Bukit Raja Industrial Park. The project includes 3 buildings designed by Malaysian architectural design firm Nexus Idea Consultancy in-collaboration with Jurutera Perunding Wawasan Sdn. Bhd.

The location of the project is situated on a flatland area with high wind speed, establishing the need for roofing profiles that are tested for wind-load pressure. The low-pitched, large-spanning roof design includes a jack roof as well as many chimneys, and therefore, requiring specific accessories to this design.

For an aesthetic finishing, the design consultant uses LYSAGHT^® SPANDEK^® OPTIMA™ as walling to provide a trapezoidal façade, whereas LYSAGHT^® KLIP-LOK^®OPTIMA^™ with its clip-fixing advantage and rolled on-site, is selected to eliminate end-lapping and penetration of fasteners to the roofing profile. The tested wind-load performance is an additional assurance to the project owner.

NS BlueScope Lysaght Malaysia also added value by providing support on the roof & wall finishing such as downpipe designs, gutter calculations, and typical detailing on chimney including 3rd party water-proofing accessories.
